The Fairy Tale of Comfortable Shoes

We all wear shoes and most of us just love to buy them. But we have never thought of knowing how shoes came into being and when did the story start. The shoe story started in order to protect feet from heat and to create a balance between the two. The earliest shoe was designed in 8000 to 7000 BC. However the first leather designed shoe dates back to 3500 BC. The earliest shoes were simple foot bags to protect the foot from rocks, soil etc. By the middle age, shoe designs started improving keeping in mind the climatic conditions. Earlier, shoe for each foot was customized and gradually by the 17th to 18th century the modern shoe came in to existence. The modern shoe had a sewn sole without any differentiation of any left or right foot. And now from the middle of 20th century onwards came the idea of comfortable shoes, serving as a blessing for us until now, improvising day by day, providing comfort and pleasure.
